It's tough for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the record chasers, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their hitters to possess a record if not provided the chance.

What's clear is this century was much more difficult to see coming.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, should it happen, we are confident we can achieve it."

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy missed because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at an important competition.

Such is her determination, she afterwards commented she wanted to have participated through the pain.

Yet even as she later admitted those fitness problems have delayed consideration of ending her career, this championship is anticipated as her last as captain in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as captain.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her ultimate challenge.
